Major accountabilities of position

General

  • Commitment to ensuring the Safety of yourself and others in CIMIC workplaces.

FP&A

  • Support the GM FP&A in the development of a best practice CIMIC FP&A function that works as a true business partner with the OpCos.
  • Build capability, develop and lead a high performance FP&A Team, to improve finance/decision support to the OpCos.
  • Deliver accurate and timely key insights and recommendations to senior management, for decision making purposes.
  • Drive the development of improved forecasting and business planning processes and tools to achieve greater accuracy of rolling forecasts and outlooks, improved efficiencies in the process and ultimately better business insight.
  • Support the business planning, budgeting and forecasting cycle working in conjunction with the MDs, CFO's and Finance Teams to deliver the required quality outputs to the Group FP&A team.
  • Drive the development of BI dashboard reporting and further enhancements to system led change, in conjunction with the system accountants.
  • Provide quality financial variance analysis to Senior Management in relation to actuals, budgets, forecast and CIMIC Group policies.
  • Partner with key OpCo stakeholders to provide value added support and guidance.
  • Drive quality monthly and quarterly management reporting for Senior Management and Audit Committee.
  • Review of work in hand and budget reporting to Hochtief and ASX.

Position Requirements

Knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years in Finance / Accounting / FP&A experience, of which minimum 2-3 years in a leadership FP&A position
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Strong systems skills, experience in Oracle BI advantageous
  • Advance excel user
  • Further qualifications (e.g. CA, CPA)
  • Construction and Mining industry experience advantageous
