Analyst (M&A) –CIMIC Group

Key responsibilities for the role include:

Service Delivery

Contribute to the effective operation of the project finance team by:

  • Financial modelling:
    • Developing financial models for new infrastructure projects
    • Updating models for current projects to ensure ongoing accuracy
    • Review and evaluate financial models developed by third parties
    • Review project financial models to investigate value adding opportunities for projects in operation
  • Identify, analyse and report on financial market data relevant to relevant companies.
  • Evaluate alternative financing structures against 'value' and 'risk' criteria
  • Assist with the development of financing documentation
  • Assist with the coordination and preparation of due diligence reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of Board Papers
  • Support the M&A team with project management tasks as required
  • Develop and maintaining productive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Experience & Skills required

  • Minimum three years' experience working as a M&A or Financial analyst. Exposure to M&A transactions would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated understanding of company structures, reporting, legal concepts and general business acumen.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance (or similar discipline)
  • Desirable double degree
  • Outstanding interpersonal, liaison and networking skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high volume work environment
