Pacific Partnerships is the CIMIC Group’s project finance arm. Pacific Partnerships develops and invests in infrastructure projects built by CIMIC’s operating companies and is a long-term partner to clients through the provision of operation and maintenance services throughout the life of the asset. Pacific Partnerships invests in PPPs and Build Operate Transfer projects.



At Pacific Partnerships, the Project Finance Manager is a key role managing the financial functions of a deal team; for planning, negotiating and delivering the equity and project debt finance for projects.



  • Participate in deal origination, managing financial advisors and implementing the Pacific Partnerships business model and approach to bidding.
  • Manage due diligence consultants covering taxation, accounting, financial model audit, insurance and any required hedging arrangements.
  • Manage and direct dedicated project finance and advisory professionals working on the transaction and support the Project Director on the associated capital raising activities to manage the approval of Pacific Partnership’s significant investment stake.
  • Assist the CFO to establish and maintain relationships of trust and confidence with Pacific Partnerships’ project and PPP industry stakeholders including CIMIC Group entities, project finance banks, equity investors, financial advisors and DD consultants.
  • Develop and analyse strategies for alternative structural and investment options
  • Participate in commercial interactions with and presentations to project clients on finance related matters
  • Participate in monitoring of market conditions, market liquidity, refinancing of facilities across Pacific Partnerships’ investments, portfolio compatibility of each investment, exit options and tax efficiency.
  • Supervise and manage PF managers and analysts assigned to deal teams as required.


Competencies, Knowledge & Experience:


  • Minimum of seven years’ working experience
  • Experience with lead level exposure to PPP/ Project Finance projects
  • Previous debt and/or equity finance function leadership experience at director or similar level
  • International as well as domestic financial market experience desirable
  • Previous exposure to construction or engineering sector desirable
  • Industry standing and demonstrable financial market / investor network
  • Significant PPP/Project Finance Banking or Financial Advisory experience in project leading and origination or executive roles.
